This is a recent pic of my mom.  As a child and throughout my youth, I have one clear and recurring image of my mom. Every morning, she would be sitting in her chair, in the living room, with a cup of coffee and her Bible. Her example has had an enduring effect on my life. Love you mom. Revelation After some prayer and reflection, I've decided study through Revelation. I’m a little nervous in that I’ve never studied through Revelation devotionally. In the past, I’ve tended to approach Revelation from a theological standpoint.

Where’s the love?

It's December and time for some Christmas memories. This pic was on our Christmas postcard, 1985. Where's the love Revelation 2:1-7 This passage contains the first of the seven letters to the seven churches of Asia Minor. This letter, written to the church in Ephesus, contains a phrase that is familiar to most of us ..."I have this against you, that you have left your first love," v4.

Do not fear

Here's a new addition to our front yard in our Texas hill country home. We are grateful for those who have fought and served to protect our freedom. God bless America! Do not fear Revelation 2:8-11 This is the letter to the persecuted church in Smyrna. Smyrna was an educational center of science and medicine in Asia Minor. Just like university cities in the US that tend to be liberal and anti-Christian, Smyrna had a strong disdain for the church. The Jews that rejected the Messiah joined the pagans in their focus to persecute the Christians.

Grace

Jaycee was a rescue baby. She was  placed in our home when she was 2 days old. We fostered her for a short time until her amazing adoptive parents and dear friends of ours were licensed to take her. She is vibrant, happy and much loved! Grace gone wrong Revelation 2:12-17 This is the letter to the church at Pergamum. "I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is, and you hold fast My name..." Pergamum was a hot-bed of paganism and false religions.
